What is your current project and your role as a PM?

Currently, as the project manager for the HTML team, I am in charge of building website interfaces.
In this HTML project, we are proceeding with development based on designs created by the UI/UX team on the Japan side, with the goal of providing a website that is user-friendly and visually appealing. It is a project that directly contributes to the company's business needs, where we build a high-quality web application while coordinating with the system team.

My role as a PM is to accurately grasp the requests from stakeholders such as management, product owners, and designers, and to reflect those requests throughout the entire project. Specifically, I balance both deadlines and quality while handling team resource planning, progress management, member support, and risk management.
Ultimately, I believe it is my responsibility and mission to deliver high-quality outcomes that meet user expectations, according to the schedule set by the company and each department.

What do you place importance on when promoting a project?

I believe there are numerous points that a project manager must pay attention to when launching and driving a project from the very beginning. Among them, the two most important tasks to clarify in the initial stage are the following:

The first is to clearly define concrete goals.
The second is to accurately plan the scope.

By clarifying these, we can move forward steadily toward a common goal with limited resources, while keeping in step with all those involved.
Furthermore, what becomes important in parallel with this are the complementary strategies for leading a project to success. For example, I believe that strategically building the foundational aspects of execution, such as risk management, human resource management, and cost management, is also an essential role for a project manager.

What do you expect from your team members?

When moving a project forward, I always want my team members to value 'a positive attitude,' 'proactiveness,' and 'a stance of continuous learning.' I believe that the team's overall strength is maximized when each member acts spontaneously toward the company's vision and common goals.

In terms of skills, I want each member to fully utilize their own expertise in their daily work to create useful and valuable products. And at the same time, I hope they will continue to make efforts to further enhance their specialized skills with an eye to the future.

What is the team's greatest appeal?

My team is centered around young members born after the year 2000, and they always approach their work energetically and with great enthusiasm. This passion and vitality is the team's greatest appeal.

Finally, could you describe "the appeal of working at TechX" in a single word or phrase?

That's a very interesting question. This question reminds me of the 'Lifework' vision that the CEO spoke about when I previously visited the parent company, TechX, in Japan.

'Lifework' is a way of thinking about enriching one's work and life by harmonizing them, rather than separating them. At TechX, the environment to realize this vision is in place, and for me, the greatest appeal is that we can all work together to make this place feel like a 'second home.'
